Machine learning practitioner with a passion for AI that drives real-world impact — from hackathon-winning voice assistants to end-to-end ML pipelines.
I'm a data scientist with a deep commitment to using AI and machine learning for meaningful impact. My journey began with two intensive bootcamps — the ALX Data Science Bootcamp (14 months) and the Applied Data Science Lab at WorldQuant University — where I built a solid foundation across the full data science lifecycle.
I've taken that foundation into the real world, winning two AI hackathons: one for a voice-first assistant for people with visual disabilities using Google Cloud & Africa's Talking APIs, and another building an AI solution for women entrepreneurs in informal markets.
Beyond technical skills, I'm currently studying Applied Artificial Intelligence at IU University deepening my knowledge in advanced AI systems and real-world applications.
I participated in the Africa Trust & Safety LLM Challenge on Zindi, further expanding my applied experience in large language models and responsible AI.I’m passionate about building AI solutions that are practical and capable of driving real-world change.
A voice-first AI assistant built for people with visual disabilities, enabling hands-free access to information using Google Cloud AI and Africa's Talking APIs. Won the "Build with AI: GenAI + APIs Across Africa" hackathon.
An AI solution developed for the International Women's Day Hackathon, designed to help women in informal businesses attract customers and validate their products using machine learning and Claude AI.
Implemented a neural network using only Numpy, demonstrating backpropagation, gradient descent, and the chain rule.
Built a Diabetes Prediction Model using Support Vector Machine and automated the entire workflow as a retrainable pipeline in Azure ML Designer — enabling early risk identification at scale.
An interactive AI app deployed on HuggingFace Spaces to help pregnant women assess their symptoms and seek appropriate care (emergency, doctor visit or home monitoring).
Tableau Dashboard, an interactive analysis of Amazon Prime Video's movie catalog, exploring trends, genres, ratings and release years. Shows the distribution of movies, helps discover insights, and make data-driven decisions about what to watch.
Whether you're looking for a data scientist, want to collaborate on an AI project, or just want to connect — I'd love to hear from you.
